Handprints are all individual and can be used in identifying a person.
The idea behind the handprints were that every human has one and that even though they are all individual and used to identify us, no one is able to tell the colour of the person's skin. It should mean that we are all equal since we all have one. No one should be treated differently based on the colour of their skin because we all make the same mark.
